What is Reiki?

 

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-above) energy practice that supports your body’s natural ability to heal itself. It works by balancing the flow of energy in your system – the same life force that keeps you alive, moving and connected.

Unlike massage or physical therapy, Reiki is subtle and non-invasive. Many people describe it as a feeling of warmth, deep relaxation or lightness washing over them. Some experience emotional release, clarity or simply a sense of calm they haven’t felt in a long time.

Who is Reiki for?

Reiki is for anyone who is…

  • Feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed
  • Experiencing emotional heaviness or grief
  • Struggling to switch off a busy mind
  • Looking for support through life transitions or loss
  • Feeling “out of balance” physically, mentally or spiritually

You don’t have to “believe in it” for it to work. Reiki meets you exactly where you are – whether you’re new to holistic practices or already on a spiritual path. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to receive.

Why Reiki?

We live in a fast, overstimulated world. Stress, grief, and daily demands often leave us disconnected from ourselves. Reiki gives you space to pause, breathe and reset.

It doesn’t replace medical treatment – but it complements it beautifully. Reiki works gently alongside any other form of care, supporting your body and mind in their own natural healing process.

What happens in a Reiki session?

  • We begin with a short conversation to understand how you’re feeling and what you’d like support with.
  • You’ll then lie down, fully clothed, in a comfortable, quiet space.
  • I will gently place my hands above or lightly on different areas of your body to encourage balance and release.
  • You simply relax – there is nothing you need to do.

Each session is unique. Some people feel energy as heat or tingling, others experience calm, images or emotions. Sometimes, the effects are subtle and felt later as deeper sleep, clarity or emotional lightness.

My approach

As someone who has navigated profound loss and strong emotions in my own life, I know what it means to carry invisible weight. Reiki became one of the tools that helped me release, soften and find a sense of peace again.

My sessions are heart-centered and grounding, designed to help you feel safe, supported and seen. This is your time – a space to let go and simply be.
